The Joyful Gourmet kicks off its exciting Local Chef Series with an authentic Italian cannoli-making experience led by Tony, the owner of the renowned Tony Cannoli in Mundelein. This hands-on class invites both "Cannoli Rookies" and connoisseurs to master the art of crafting classic Italian treats under the guidance of a local expert.

During this participation-style event, each guest will be provided with an apron and a dedicated workstation. Tony will lead the group through the specialized techniques required to roll and prepare perfect shells using his family’s tradition as a guide.

The Experience
Hands-On Crafting: Each participant will work with fresh dough to roll and create three individual cannoli.

Custom Fillings: Guests will learn to fill their handcrafted shells with a variety of delicious options.

Expert Instruction: While the specific family recipe remains a trade secret, Tony provides comprehensive instruction on the professional tips and tricks needed to achieve authentic results at home.
