Celebrate winter at Winterfest with an afternoon of Freezin’ Fun at Century Park Arboretum in Vernon Hills this January. The free, family-friendly event features seasonal activities for all ages, including a live sled dog demonstration, horse-drawn carriage rides and s’mores toasted over an open fire.

Weather permitting, guests are encouraged to bring sleds to enjoy the park’s hills if snow conditions allow. Winterfest takes place Saturday, Jan. 10, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Century Park Pavilion. The event is free to attend, open to all ages, and does not require registration.
