Two-time JUNO Award winners The Wailin' Jennys are known for their soaring vocals, lush harmonies and exquisite songwriting. When they take the stage and perform, goosebumps tend to follow.
Formed in 2002, the Canadian trio started as a "happy accident," performing at what they thought would be a one-off performance at a tiny guitar shop in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Bolstered by their frequent appearances on Garrison Keillor's A Prairie Home Companion, the Jennys exploded onto the roots music scene, performing at packed venues across Canada, the U.S., Europe and Australia. Today, they have become one of the world's most beloved international folk acts.
While their name was created in jest in honor of the legendary Waylon Jennings, their music is no joke. Albums like Firecracker, Fifteen and the award-winning 40 Days and Bright Morning Stars showcase their striking originals, reimagined covers and impeccable storytelling.
In concert, these talented multi-instrumentalists blend modern folk, roots and Americana with the right amount of witty banter to deliver a night to remember. Be sure to see these gifted songbirds before they fly off to their next performance.
