Returning for it's SWEET 16th event, The Lake County Film Festival is bigger than ever, with over 150 films, and nearly 100 screenings at three venues. Our main HQ is the College Of Lake County in Grayslake, with additional screenings at the Gorton Center in Lake Forest, and our new venue, The Antioch Theater in Antioch. The festival opens with the critically acclaimed Nuisance Bear, directed by Gabriela Osio Vanden & Jack Weisman. A Sundance sensation and winner of the Grand Jury Prize, the film has captivated audiences with its bold storytelling and immersive vision. The festival closes with the world premiere of All Skate, directed by Lake County native April Wright. Part of her Going Attractions documentary series, the film celebrates the social and cultural legacy of roller skating rinks — a fitting homecoming for Wright, whose family once owned Park Roller Rink in Zion, Illinois.
