Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia’s newest production, Billy Goats Gruff and Other Tales, brings a fresh and engaging reimagining of three beloved children’s stories—Goldilocks and the Three Bears, The Three Little Pigs and The Three Billy Goats Gruff. This enchanting performance features the signature puppetry, storytelling and whimsical charm for which Mermaid Theatre is known. At the heart of the story are a brave raccoon and a clever mouse on a quest to collect treasure. As they journey through magical landscapes, their path intersects with the familiar worlds of the goats, bears and pigs. Through their actions—often unintentional yet heroic—they help avert disaster, teaching young audiences that kindness, curiosity and courage can have a ripple effect.
