Chicago's own SciFi Electronic Dance Orchestra comes to Waukegan to help us celebrate Ray Bradbury's birthday. Terrible Spaceship is a multimedia feast performing selections from their four albums: Invaders:1938 tells the tale of the War of the Worlds as famously presented by Orson Welles and and the Mercury Theater Company. Zontar the Thing from Venus converts a ridiculous 1966 science fiction b-movie into a wild electronic dance party. Mechanical Monsters adapts 1940's Fleischer Studios "Superman" in to trip hop fever dreams. End of Line is a synthesizer-infused up-beat retelling of 1982's Tron. Groove to the sound and sight possibilities of alternate worlds like Ray would have wanted you to. This is a free show.
