The Proprietor’s Vertical Lineup:
2021 Proprietor’s Stout: A decadent dessert brew reminiscent of a classic strawberry ice cream bar. Aged with strawberries, vanilla, and coconut, it delivers flavors of rich shortcake, vanilla, and a slight fruitiness. This vintage has been noted for its velvety, full-bodied experience and lingering finish.
2022 Proprietor’s Stout: A tropical escape inspired by a Jungle Bird cocktail. This stout blends banana, coconut, lime, and pineapple, offering an innovative and surprisingly fresh take on the Bourbon County family with huge hits of tropical flavor and a pleasant boozy warmth.
2023 Proprietor’s Stout: An homage to Chicago and the holidays inspired by rice pudding. Brewed with cassia bark, brown sugar, raisins, and toasted rice, this stout wraps you in a culinary blanket of toasted rice, vanilla custard, dried fruit, and baking spices. This blend is known for its cozy, comforting warmth.
2024 Proprietor’s Barleywine: The first barleywine under the Proprietor’s name, this beer is a tribute to a popular Mexican spoon candy. It blends tamarind, lime, whole Guajillo chiles, and piloncillo for subtle dried fruit sweetness, refreshing lime zest, and a delightfully warming finish, with an aggressive pepper spice that balances the sweetness.
Prop Day Eve is your chance to savor these rare and complex stouts and barleywine side-by-side. Come raise a glass as we kick off the most wonderful time of the year for barrel-aged beer!
