Adopt a Lucky Duck online and watch them race at Barefoot Bay on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026, at 2 p.m. (rain date is Saturday, Aug. 8). Families are invited to enjoy "Lucky Duck Day at the 'Bay," complete with a Jeep on site for viewing, brought by Liberty Automotive Jeep. Duck Donuts will be there with donuts while supplies last, and BCU and Mundelein Family Dental will be on hand with some rubber duckie fun, too. Guests can stay to watch their adopted Lucky Duck race in the Lazy River at 2 p.m.

Ducks can be adopted online now for $10 each. If any ducks are left, they will be available for adoption at Barefoot Bay on Aug. 1, while supplies last. Participants are not required to be present to win. All spectators must use a season pass or purchase daily admission at the resident or non-resident rate to enter Barefoot Bay. All proceeds benefit the Mundelein Parks Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charity.
