The Waukegan Park District will host the 2025 GO WAUKEGAN Winter Hot Chocolate Walk from 4 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, in downtown Waukegan. The walk begins at Jack Benny Plaza, located at the southwest corner of Genesee and Clayton streets, and is a free community event encouraging residents to walk at least 30 minutes every day.

The event will take place in conjunction with the City of Waukegan and Waukegan Chamber of Commerce’s annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. GO WAUKEGAN, launched in partnership with the Lake County Health Department, is a community initiative promoting health and wellness through walking, education and collaboration.

Pre-registration is not required. In the event of inclement weather, the walk will be rescheduled. More information is available at waukeganparks.org/gowaukegan.
