The Winthrop Harbor Parks and Recreation Department will host a new event, Fishing with First Responders, on Saturday, June 14, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Village Park pond.

The event is free and open to the public. Bait and a limited number of fishing poles will be provided, courtesy of sponsors The Outdoorsman Sport Shop and Lake Michigan Angler. Participants are encouraged to bring their own fishing poles, if available.
