Celebrate International Bog Day with live music, art, and nature at the Volo Bog State Natural Area. An Artists’ Reception featuring “Bogs in Art” will be held inside from 1 to 3 p.m., with a silent auction closing at 2 p.m. Proceeds benefit VBSNA through Friends of Volo Bog.

• Outdoor music by Fox Crossing String Band runs from 4 to 6 p.m., with an indoor option if needed due to weather.
• Peatland Poetry Readings will take place from 4:50 to 5:15 p.m. Bring your own picnic, but no alcohol is allowed.
• Bog tours throughout the afternoon, bog-themed crafts and refreshments—including frog cookies—will be available in the Visitor Center until 3 p.m.
