In celebration of Black History Month, ShadowBoxX will present eight contemporary Black artists — seven men and one woman, including seven from Nigeria and one from the United States. The “ESSENCE” exhibition explores African identity, culture and the human condition through themes of spirit, story, emotion and nature. The artworks reflect the inner light that gives human life value, direction and meaning. “ESSENCE” opens from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026.
