Downtown Highland Park will host an afternoon of Halloween festivities on Thursday, Oct. 23. Children can collect candy from participating businesses and enjoy seasonal activities throughout the downtown area.

• Candy Stroll: 3–5 p.m. at participating businesses
• Live Music, DJs and Face Painting: 3–6 p.m. at Port Clinton Square and Renaissance Place
• Dog Costume Contest: 5 p.m. at Port Clinton Square. Costumed pups can compete for prizes.
• Michael’s Halloween Bash Buffet and Costume Contest: 4:30–7 p.m.
