Families are invited to a free, pre-registered Halloween event designed for residents to enjoy a festive day of community fun. Participants are encouraged to dress in costume and take a family walk through the event, trick-or-treating at local business tables and decorated trunks. Activities include a giant pumpkin bounce house, a pumpkin patch, a storybook walk and more. Guests can also vote for their favorite pumpkin in the pumpkin contest using loose change, with proceeds benefiting the Mundelein Parks Foundation, which provides scholarships for residents in financial need.
Food trucks will be on-site for those wishing to purchase treats. Attendees are encouraged to dress for the weather and bring a bag for candy. Children ages 12 and under must register to receive a wristband for candy, while those 13 and older do not need to register and will not receive candy. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Participants should arrive at their designated check-in time, as same-day registration will not be accepted. Registration closes Oct. 14.
