Antioch hosts a day of enchantment and entertainment with Wizards Weekend Day downtown and a Summer Kickoff Party at the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Sequoit post 4551. The Antioch Chamber of Commerce's “Harry Potter” inspired event invites individuals of all ages to dress in wizarding attire for activities like the Marauders Experience, a climb to Azkaban and a Horcrux Hunt, with access granted via a Magical Band. Concurrently, the Antioch VFW Post will hold its Summer Kickoff Party from noon to 8 p.m., featuring live music, food, drinks and raffles. The 37th annual Nostalgia Days will bring promising chrome, classic rock and family entertainment to downtown Zion. The festival features one of the region's largest antique and custom car shows. Highlights include a Friday evening open cruise for registered vehicles and a free outdoor screening of Oscar and Golden Globe nominated 1972 motion picture "Grease" at 9:30 p.m. On Saturday, the car, truck and motorcycle show runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., culminating in the signature Sheridan Road Cruize at 4 p.m. Live broadcasts from 95 WIIL Rock (95.1 WIIL-FM), TUDN 1220 Union Latina (1220 TUDN-AM) and 102.3 WXLC (102.3 WXLC-FM), along with a K-9 demonstration and more, will also take place throughout Saturday. The annual Libertyville Days Festival, themed "Aloha Summer '25," is back in downtown Libertyville. Summer officially hits the shore this weekend as the seventh annual Beach Bash returns to Diamond Lake Beach in Mundelein, offering a free day of family fun. Craft beer enthusiasts will gather downtown Grayslake for the annual Grayslake Craft Beer Festival, featuring over 150 brews from over 50 breweries. Attendees can sample beers, including offerings from Lake County Libation Trail members like Roaring Table Brewing Co. and Phase Three Brewing Co. of Lake Zurich, 9th Hour Brewing Co. and Harbor Brewing Co. of Lake Villa, Tighthead Brewing Co. of Mundelein, Buffalo Creek Brewing of Long Grove, Half Day Brewing Co. of Lincolnshire and Beer Bazaar of Grayslake.
