Hundreds of participants are expected to take an icy dip in Lake Zurich for the annual Purple Plunge at Breezewald Park, a community-driven event that raises funds for cancer patients and their families. The day kicks off with registration at Scoreboard Bar and Grill, where attendees can also purchase raffle tickets and participate in a silent auction. A team costume contest will take place before the plunge, with participants braving the freezing lake. Following the plunge, a post-event celebration will feature a DJ from AMP Events, as well as food and drinks from Scoreboard Bar and Grill.
