Burger chefs and restaurants from the suburbs will compete in the annual Burger Throwdown from 1 to 4 p.m. Aug. 31 in Buffalo Creek Brewing’s one-acre biergarten.

For one ticket price, guests will receive a freshly made beer and samples from participating burger contestants, then vote for their favorite. This year’s contenders include The Curious Crow, Indaba USA, Karajo Chow Down, Shorty’s 312 and Woodfire Tavern, the 2024 People’s Choice winner.

The event challenges whether a classic cheeseburger will hold its crown or a new burger creation will take the top prize.
