Buffalo Creek Brewing is kicking off a month-long countdown to Alpine Fest 2026 with alpine-inspired drinks, themed nights, live music, and winter fun in Lake Zurich. The celebration features a rotating lineup of seasonal beverages, including the Alpine Ol’ Spritz, Hot Buttered Beer, boozy hot chocolate made with the brewery’s Russian Imperial Stout, Hallows and a new Weizenbock—a strong, malty German wheat beer with notes of banana, clove, dark fruit, and toasted bread.
New this year are themed nights, including Buffalo Plaid Night on Friday, Jan. 30, encouraging guests to dress in cozy North Woods style, and Alpine Chic Night on Saturday, Jan. 31, highlighting elevated winter fashion inspired by ski culture.
Alpine Fest is held in conjunction with the Lake Zurich Lions Club, featuring stein-holding and hammerschlagen competitions, a 50/50 raffle, and a s’mores bar. Food will be available from The Curious Crow, serving alpine favorites such as Rösti, truffle mac and cheese, poutine, German sausages and meat and cheese boards.
Live music will be provided by the Alpine Thunder Band, performing classic alpine hits with traditional Alpen horns and bells throughout the event.
