Gorton Center and Lake Forest Open Lands will co-present Winterfest, an annual winter film festival and community gathering, on Jan. 30 and 31. The event features adventure film screenings in the John & Nancy Hughes Theater and an alpine-inspired "après-ski" experience in the Stuart Ski Lodge.

The Stuart Ski Lodge, located in the first-floor community room, will offer live acoustic music, food trucks, and a selection of craft brews and signature cocktails. While lodge activities are free and open to the public, film screenings require a ticket or festival pass.

Friday, Jan. 30

• 6–7:30 p.m. – Winterfest activities in the Stuart Ski Lodge (Free)
• 7 p.m. – Screening: The Sanctity of Space (Ticket required)

Saturday, Jan. 31

• 2 p.m. – Mountainfilm on Tour: All Ages Shorts (Ticket required)
• 3:30–7:30 p.m. – Winterfest activities in the Stuart Ski Lodge (Free)
• 4 p.m. – Mountainfilm on Tour: Adventure Shorts (Ticket required)
• 7 p.m. – Mountainfilm on Tour: Indomitable Spirit Medley (Ticket required)

Attendees are encouraged to dress in leur favorite après-ski attire. Winterfest is sponsored by The Community Church of Lake Forest and Lake Bluff. For more information or to purchase film passes, visit the Gorton Center website.
