The Waukegan Park District will host Soul Food with Sylvia on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Jane Addams Center, 95 Jack Benny Drive, Bowen Park.

Preregistration is required. The fee is $10/$12 per individual. Food will be purchased based on the number of preregistered participants; walk-ins will not be accepted. Registration closes Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026.

Sylvia England, founder and executive director of The African American Museum at the England Manor, will demonstrate the preparation of a traditional soul food dish and lead participants in the cooking experience.
