The historic downtown area of Long Grove is set to host its annual October Days, a month-long series of events celebrating the fall season and Halloween.
The festivities begin on Thursday, Oct. 9, with Witches Night Out, where local merchants will stay open late for an evening of shopping, dining, and special deals. On Saturday, Oct. 11, families can participate in DIY Scarecrow Day, creating custom scarecrows to be displayed throughout the downtown area. The fun continues on Sunday, Oct. 19, with a Pet Costume Parade, inviting local dogs to compete for prizes in various categories. The celebration concludes with Trick or Treating on Friday, Oct. 24, as children are invited to collect treats from participating downtown businesses.
