The Citadel Theatre will begin its fall season with a production of "Misery," based on the Stephen King novel and adapted for the stage by William Goldman. Directed by Scott Westerman, the play will run from Sept. 12 through Oct. 12, 2025.

The psychological thriller follows author Paul Sheldon after a car crash, when he is rescued and held captive by his obsessed super fan, Annie Wilkes. The story chronicles their tense struggle for survival.

Previews are set to begin Sept. 10. Performances are scheduled for Thursdays through Sundays, with select Wednesday shows also available.
