The 2026 Final Derby will be a Friday-Saturday affair. Download FishDonkey and have fun! The LVVA Ice Fishing Derby, supporting veterans organizations and programs, has become one the largest and most successful ice fishing events in Northern Illinois. We have a great time in support of a great cause, our veterans and active duty military. Thanks to our generous sponsors there are plenty of door prizes and raffles, and big fish contests.

Support our military veterans at our annual ice fishing derby. Our ice fishing derby on Bangs Lake features individual angler prizes for largest northern pike, bass, perch, crappie, walleye and bluegill. We also have kids prizes.
