"Horror Noire" at North Chicago Public Library

In celebration of Black History Month, the Community Room will host a screening of the documentary "Horror Noire: A History of Black Horror" on February 21, 2026. Taking place from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, this educational film event explores the evolution of the horror genre through the lens of Black cinematic history. This screening is open exclusively to adults and offers a deep dive into the cultural impact and representation of Black creators and actors in film.
