Get outside, grow something fresh and connect with the community at the Community Garden Green in Fox Lake. This Village of Fox Lake green space features seasonal community garden plots and a gazebo, creating a welcoming place for gardening, outdoor recreation and community gatherings.

The Fox Lake Community Garden provides gardeners with access to the garden site, water and basic gardening tools. Gardeners follow organic gardening practices, avoiding dangerous pesticides, herbicides and synthetic fertilizers. The garden's mission extends beyond growing fresh vegetables, herbs, fruits and flowers—it also promotes healthy outdoor activity, education, sustainability and positive connections within the community. Produce from the garden may also be donated to local food pantries and neighbors in need.

Adjacent to the garden, Community Garden Green provides additional space for community activities and special events. In 2026, the garden celebrated its 10th birthday with a Garden Party featuring live music, local vendors and family-friendly activities.
