Celebrate the colors of the season at Illinois Beach State Park’s Fall Nature Fest on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Zion. Hosted by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, the free, family-friendly event highlights Illinois’ natural heritage with guided hikes, archery, interactive exhibits, live animal presentations and outdoor games.

Visitors can explore the park’s dunes, prairies and woodlands on naturalist-led hikes and enjoy hands-on activities celebrating fall along Lake Michigan.
