Bob Dylan, one of the most influential songwriters of the rock ’n’ roll era, has been a major figure in pop culture for more than six decades. He has sold an estimated 100 million records worldwide and won 10 Grammy Awards from 38 nominations. Dylan’s accolades also include an Academy Award, Golden Globe, Kennedy Center Honors Lifetime Achievement Award, Pulitzer Prize, Presidential Medal of Freedom, and the Nobel Prize in Literature, the first awarded to a musician.
Known as the “Voice of a Generation,” Dylan has performed more than 3,000 concerts worldwide, including at the Newport Folk Festival, Royal Albert Hall and Farm Aid. His recent album, Rough and Rowdy Ways, will set the tone for his performance at The Genesee Theatre.
