2. Photos with Santa at Gurnee Mills

3. Intro to Brewing at Perfect Brewing Supply in Libertyville

Perfect Brewing Supply invites beer enthusiasts and beginners alike to its Intro to Brewing. This hands-on workshop aims to show participants just how easy it is to create great homebrewed beer. The Libertyville class offers an immersive introduction to the world of brewing, guiding attendees through the process of crafting beer from start to finish. Participants will explore and sample various raw ingredients, learn about essential equipment and discover the techniques needed to make homebrewing a success. The workshop also provides visitors and residents with a one-gallon fermenting kit featuring a wide-mouth glass jar, a lid with an airlock and a portion of wort brewed during the class. 4. Vintage Holidays in Historic Downtown Long Grove

The festive spirit of the season returns to Historic Downtown Long Grove with the annual Vintage Holidays celebration. This cherished event transforms the village into a holiday wonderland filled with lights, traditions and opportunities to create unforgettable memories. The festivities begin with Light Up Long Grove, an evening event. Visitors can stroll through the illuminated downtown district, enjoy extended shopping hours and pose at holiday-themed photo stations. The evening culminates with the ceremonial lighting of the iconic covered bridge. Long Grove, recognized as one of the “10 Best Christmas Towns in America” by FOX News, continues to enchant visitors with its blend of old-world charm and holiday cheer. Capture a moment of holiday cheer as Santa roams the village. Seasonal features include horse-drawn carriage rides that weave through the historic streets, storefronts are adorned with festive decorations and merchants offer seasonal specials, unique gifts and holiday-inspired treats. 5. Highland Park Holiday Lighting

The City of Highland Park invites residents and visitors to ring in the festive season at its annual Holiday Lighting Celebration. The cherished Highland Park tradition begins with the lighting of the holiday tree and menorah, led by Mayor Nancy Rotering. Throughout the evening, attendees can enjoy performances by the Frozen Robin Carolers, who will fill the air with classic holiday tunes. Families will have the chance to meet Santa Claus and Hanukkah Harry, spreading magic and joy to all.
