As the days grow longer and the weather warms up, Lake County is buzzing with exciting events for families, animal lovers, history buffs, and adventure seekers alike. Whether you're looking to meet friendly farm animals, explore Navy history, shop for a new RV, or craft your own beer, there's something for everyone to enjoy. From the much-anticipated seasonal reopening of Lambs Farm to a nostalgic "Legally Blonde" movie night, this weekend is packed with unique experiences.

Check out these upcoming events and make the most of your March weekends!

1. Lambs Farmyard Opens for the Season 2025

Families and animal lovers can mark their calendars for March 22, as Lambs Farm’s farmyard opens its gates for the season. Guests can enjoy up-close encounters with farm animals, mini golf, train rides and shopping at the Cedar Chest Thrift Shop. Cuisine aficionados can stop by the Magnolia Café and Bakery or the Sugar Maple Country Store and Bakery for sweet treats and hearty meals. More than just a farm, Lambs Farm is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. The farm offers employment, residential and enrichment programs to help participants lead fulfilling lives. 2. National Museum of the American Sailor

The National Museum of the American Sailor, located just one mile from Naval Station Great Lakes, is a space dedicated to preserving the legacy of U.S. Navy sailors. The museum collects, interprets and exhibits artifacts that highlight the Navy's rich history, with a particular focus on the experiences and contributions of enlisted sailors. Through interactive exhibits and historical displays, visitors can gain insight into the traditions and daily lives of those who have served. Be sure to check out their exhibits including “Sails Unfurled: The Dawn of the U.S. Navy,” “Marked by the Sea: Tattoos in the U.S. Navy” and more. 3. Lake County RV Outlet Show at the Lake County Fairgrounds and Event Center

Camping enthusiasts and prospective buyers will have the chance to explore top recreation vehicle brands at the Lake County RV Outlet Show in Grayslake. The Lake County Fairgrounds and Event Center show will feature a wide selection of new gas and diesel motorhomes, fifth wheels and more. 4. Lights, Camera, Candles - Movie Night: "Legally Blonde" at Romney Brown Candle Co. in Grayslake

Fans of Elle Woods and all things pink can join a special movie night experience at Romney Brown Candle Company. This Grayslake event will feature a screening of the 2001 classic rom-com “Legally Blonde” starring actors Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Coolidge and Luke Wilson alongside a custom candle-making experience. Attendees will create their own Legally Blonde-inspired candles, complete with a themed topper and label. The evening also includes a pizza dinner and an opportunity to dress up in pink to channel their inner Elle Woods. 5. Intro to Brewing at Perfect Brewing Supply in Libertyville

Aspiring homebrewers can get a hands-on introduction to the craft at Perfect Brewing Supply’s “Intro to Brewing” class. The LIbertyville class will cover the fundamentals of homebrewing, including an overview of raw ingredients and essential equipment. Participants will have the opportunity to sample ingredients, learn the brewing process and gain the knowledge needed to start brewing at home. Each participant will receive a one-gallon fermenting kit, complete with a wide-mouth glass jar, lid, airlock and wort to take home and begin their brewing journey.
