Grab a pint of green beer, laugh until you cry and go for gold as you embrace the luck of the Irish in this edition of things to do this weekend March 13-15.

1. St. Patrick's Day Weekend at Mickey Finn's Brewery

Kick the St. Patrick’s Day festivities off early as Mickey Finn’s Brewery in Libertyville is celebrating through the weekend and on the Irish holiday on Tuesday. The Lake County Libation Trail participant’s event begins Friday. The three-day event is highlighted by traditional cuisines like corned beef, cabbage, fish and chips, a Sunday brunch beer specials and live music performances by Woogie, Fitz & Celts, Hearthfire and Soul Kitchen. The Sunday brunch features the renowned Irish tappers, the McNulty Irish Dancers. The actual holiday falls on Tuesday, where 95 WIIL Rock’s Tom and Emily Shamrock & Roll Morning Show live remotes their radio broadcast, and the first 95 guests will receive a commemorative T-shirt kicking off at 8 a.m. Ring in the Irish jubilee with the customary old country’s brunch cuisine and the Libertyville brewhouse’s Doppelbock suds, which $1 of each of the traditional pint proceeds go to St. Baldrick’s Foundation. Tuesday evening’s festivities feature a live performance from the band Beamish and a group of bagpipers. Beannachtaí Na Féile Pádraig Oraibh (St. Patrick’s Day Blessing Upon You).

Friday-Sunday, March 13-15; Fri.: 11:30 a.m.- 1 a.m., Sat.: 10 a.m.-1 a.m., Sun.: 10 a.m.-8 p.m, Tues.: 8 a.m.-11 p.m. Admission: $5 cover after 9 p.m. on Saturday. There is no cover charges throughout the rest of the weekend. Mickey Finn’s Brewery, 345 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville.

2. Multi-Chamber Extreme Block Party/Family Expo & Taste at DoubleTree Mundelein (Postponed until October 17)

The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Libertyville-Mundelein hosts the annual Green Oaks, Libertyville, Mundelein, Vernon Hills (GLMV) Multi-Chamber Extreme Block Party Family Expo & Taste of the Towns. This Mundelein event will feature over 100 local vendors, live entertainment, over 50 raffle prizes, face painting, product demonstrations, a variety of bites from local eateries, Dave DiNaso’s Famous Traveling World of Reptile Show and more. The GLMV Chamber invites individuals of all ages to support local businesses in this free admission show.

3. Deer Park St. Paddy's 5K & 10K Run/Walk(Postponed)

Sprint for the “medal O’gold” at the Deer Park St. Paddy’s 5K & 10K Run/Walk. The Deer Park Town Center event invites marathoners to wear their favorite green attire and do a little jig as the sounds of live Irish tunes fill the air. Dash across the finish line and receive a commemorative shirt, a race pint glass, a variety of Irish-inspired treats and other post-race goodies. This festive event also features a Kids Dash competition starting at 8:15 a.m. open to contestants ages 10 and under. For more information and to register, visit shopdeerparktowncenter.com.

4. Bumping Mics with Jeff Ross and Dave Attell at the Genesee Theatre

Stand-up comedy legends Jeff Ross and David Attell make a stop in Lake County this weekend at the Genesee Theatre. Ross, known as the “roastmaster general” on Comedy Central’s roast specials and Attell, best known for the same network’s show “Insomniac,” joined forces to present their “Bumping Mics” tour based off their Netflix show sharing the same name to the Waukegan stage. The duo’s performance features their signature unfiltered banter and audience participation in a unique stand-up experience. This show is intended for mature audiences only.

Saturday, March 14; 7:30 p.m. Tickets: $40-$50. Genesee Theatre, 203 N. Genesee St., Waukegan.

5. College of Lake County Wind Ensemble Concert at the James Lumber Center

Sit back and relax while listening to the acoustic sounds of the College of Lake County Wind Ensemble. The Grayslake college’s premier ensemble concert at the James Lumber Center is highlighted by 50 musicians comprised of students, teachers and local community members is conducted by composer Michael Flack. The program includes music from a blend of classical and contemporary composers. Children ages 18 and under are free with the purchase of an adult ticket.
