"Gospel music is nothing but singing of good tidings -- spreading the good news. It will last as long as any music because it is sung straight from the human heart," said gospel diva and Civil Rights Activist Mahalia Jackson. The Lake County Forest Preserves presents Gospel Fest. The Greenbelt Cultural Center gospel party features powerhouse vocalist, composer, and conductor Adrian Dunn. This artist works with The Adrian Dunn Singers and Dunn's Rize Orchestra. In 2022, Dunn made his Ravinia Festival Chicago Symphony Orchestra composer debut with a choral commission of "Going Home." Dunn has worked with and taught countless industry singers, producers, and songwriters. Other performances at the North Chicago show include Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Waukegan, Light of the World, Called to Worship, and Gloria Gadsden. The fest is free, but seating is limited, so seating is limited.
