BlacKkKlansman at Gorton Center

BlacKkKlansman is a gripping crime drama directed by Spike Lee, based on the true story of Ron Stallworth, the first Black detective in Colorado Springs. Set in the early 1970s, the film explores race, identity, and systemic racism while blending suspense, dark humor, and social commentary.

BlacKkKlansman also speaks to today’s world, showing how racism and hate persist over time. Its visuals, performances, and soundtrack create a story that is thrilling, entertaining, and thought-provoking. At its core, the film is about courage, resilience, and standing up to injustice. Ron Stallworth’s undercover work demonstrates how one person’s bravery can challenge deeply entrenched systems of hatred and make a lasting impact.
