BLOOM aims to inspire and educate the Deer Park community on eco-friendly living from recycling old clothing and shoes to celebrating the season with visits with the Bunny and an Earth Day giveaway!

CLOTHING, TEXTILE & SHOE COLLECTION 
March 1- April 26
Center Office, Suite 133

Deer Park Town Center is partnering with SWALCO (Solid Waste Agency of Lake County, IL) to collect new, gently used, or unwanted/worn women’s, men’s and children’s clothing and textiles, all fabric accepted, items can be dropped off at the Center Office  (Mon-Fri 8am-5pm).

Reuse-A-Shoe Program:
All shoes accepted with the exception of: rollerblades, ice skates and winter boots. Shoes in any condition, from new or gently used, to those that are worn, will be accepted, even those with stains or holes. Shoes that are wet or moldy, or shoes without soles/falling apart will NOT BE ACCEPTED. We ask that pairs of shoes be brought with laces tied, if no laces, please rubber band or zip-tie pairs. 

DOCUMENT SHREDDING EVENT
Fri. March 20, 11am-2pm
Parking lot near Noodles & Company

The community is invited to bring sensitive documents for on-site shredding from 11am-2pm. Please limit documents to 5 boxes or grocery paper bags per person (12×15 banker boxes). Items must be loose, no 3-ring binders, pronged folders, rubber bands and metal clips (paper clips and staples are acceptable). No magazines, newspapers or other non-sensitive papers accepted. No plastic bags, please. 

Please bring documents to the truck located in the parking lot near Noodles & Company, no car drive-up available. It’s recommended to bringing documents in paper grocery sized bags.
Open to the entire community until 2pm or earlier if truck is full. No businesses please.

Clothing & Shoes will also be accepted at this event for recycling.

WORLD WATER DAY GIVEAWAY
March 16-20
In celebration of World Water Day, the first 75 guests to visit the Center Management Office will receive a free ‘Deer Park Town Center’ branded water bottle, while supplies last. Here’s how the community can participate:

• Visit the Center Office, located in suite 133, next to Clean Juice
• Show your text to claim your bottle (while supplies last!)

PHOTOS WITH THE BUNNY
Sat. March 28, 11am-1pm

Join us at Deer Park Town Center for free visits and photos with the Bunny on Saturday, March 28, 11am-1pm.

RESERVATIONS COMING SOON

Personal cameras for photos required, no photographer will be available. Bunny visits will take place indoors in suite 426, near the traffic circle/gazebo.

EARTH DAY TREE GIVEAWAY
April 21- While supplies last
Center Office, Suite 133

Beginning April 21, pick up a free tree sapling from the Center Management Office located in Suite 133, next to Clean Juice, open 8am-5pm, while supplies last.
A limited number of plants will be available on a first come, first served basis. Limit one per person.

Share your garden! Take a photo with your plants and share it on social media, tagging Deer Park Town Center @shopdeerpark and @DeerParkTownCenter.
