The Mundelein Arts Commission will host an afternoon of poetry reading and storytelling from 1 to 3 p.m. Aug. 24 at the new outdoor gathering space next to the “Mundelein” mural on Park Street.

Poets, storytellers, spoken word performers and fans are invited to attend. Those interested in reading may sign up in advance by contacting Jeff Justman at jjustman.arts@outlook.com. Audience members do not need to register.

The event is free and open to all ages. Food and beverages will be available for purchase at neighboring businesses.
