Volo Bog State Natural Area will host Familiar Feathered Friends, a watercolor exhibit by Gurnee artist Pat King, from Aug. 1 to 30.

King’s vibrant landscapes feature birds, forests, farms and wildflowers, blending bright colors, intricate patterns and seasonal details. The exhibit is open Wednesday through Sunday and closed Monday and Tuesday.

An artist’s reception will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Aug. 30. Twenty-five percent of proceeds will benefit Friends of Volo Bog programs and projects.
