Hands on - Cooking Artichokes at Chicago Botanic Gardens

New! Native to the Mediterranean, artichokes are a species of thistle cultivated as food. In this hands-on class, discover delicious ways to prepare them: steamed and accompanied by a garlic lemon aioli; stuffed with guanciale, herbs, and crisp breadcrumbs and then roasted; deep fried in an heirloom tomato caponata; and blended into a bisque soup finished with cream sherry and crisp onion curls.
