Forty years ago, John Hughes gave a voice to the emotional roller coaster that was adolescence and redefined the coming-of-age story. Who was John Hughes? How did the highs and lows of his own life shape his movies? And what were the important social messages his films were trying to tell us? Join us as we look at his life through three of his movies: Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
A social gathering with drinks will be at 6:30 p.m., and the presentation will begin at 7 p.m.
