The African American Museum at England Manor is coordinating this year's Juneteenth Lake County Parade and Festival.
Juneteenth is more than a holiday—it celebrates resilience, freedom, and Black excellence. And this year, we’re bringing the culture outside in a big way!
Saturday, June 21, 2025
Waukegan, IL
Parade: Starts at 1pm
Includes the Elite Striders Drill Team & Drum Corps], South Shore Drill Team, local school marching bands, low riders, motorcycles, Mr. & Ms. Juneteenth, and much much more.
Festival: Immediately following the parade
Downtown Waukegan will be alive with music, vendors, food trucks, and community! Enjoy live performances on the BCU Main Stage, a kids’ area, and fun for the entire family.
This isn’t just an event—it’s a statement. We’re outside, celebrating and honoring the past while building the future. Pull up, bring your people, and let’s make this a Juneteenth to remember!
