Louis Langrée, the esteemed Music Director of Lincoln Center’s Mostly Mozart Festival for two decades, makes his anticipated Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Ravinia debuts with an all-Mozart program illuminating the composer’s unparalleled brilliance.

The evening begins with the regal Overture to Mozart’s La clemenza di Tito, a powerful and majestic work that embodies the opera’s themes of leadership, mercy, and virtue. Next, the spotlight turns to acclaimed pianist Garrick Ohlsson, who joins the CSO for Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 22. Known for his “lush” sound (Seattle Times), Ohlsson brings a rich, expressive tone to this concerto, balancing virtuosic brilliance with lyrical beauty.

The evening culminates with Mozart’s Symphony No. 41, “Jupiter,” considered by many to be the pinnacle of Classical-era symphonic writing.
