Jan Schrader's abstract painting exhibition, "CANVAS JAZZ," will be featured at the Blue Moon Art Gallery from June 21-July 19. Schrader's work is influenced by Mid-Century and Contemporary Architecture, Asian art and jazz music. He describes his abstract paintings as "jazz on canvas," emphasizing their improvisational and limitless nature. The artist uses heavy textures, metallic paints and high-gloss finishes to create dynamic surfaces that shift with changing light. An opening reception will be held on Saturday, June 21, from 6-9 p.m. The gallery will be open Saturdays from 1-4 p.m. during the exhibition.
