Mundelein Grand Prix Bike Race Returns!
The Mundelein Grand Prix is a professional and amateur bicycle race as part of the nationally renowned Chicago Grit race series. Races are held in a "criterium" format, meaning that racers will compete together on a short circuit racecourse south of Courtland Commons in Mundelein and complete as many laps as possible within the allotted time. Once one race finishes, another begins shortly thereafter. There will be almost nonstop racing from 10:20 AM to 8:30 PM. With tight turns and fast straightaways, races are always a thrilling spectacle! This day is not just about bike races though, it is an event that the whole community can enjoy and includes: children's games, a community ride, live music, art activities, a beer garden and more.
