Join the team at the National Museum of the American Sailor for the next Navy Explorers program honoring Flag Day! Flag Day is celebrated each year on June 14 to commemorate the adoption of the flag of the United States, which happened that day by resolution of the Second Continental Congress in 1777. Participants have the opportunity to learn interesting facts about Old Glory, the symbolism behind certain shapes and colors used on flags and how U.S. Navy Sailors use flags to communicate. Each participant will also have the opportunity to create their own flag to take home.
This event is free of charge and preregistration is not required.
