Acoustic music players are invited to join a community jam session Aug. 17 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the outdoor space next to the “Mundelein” mural at 22 E. Park St. Hosted by Jeff Justman of the Mundelein Arts Commission, the free event welcomes guitars, banjos, mandolins, fiddles, ukuleles, basses and vocalists. Electric instruments, horns and drum sets are not permitted.

No advance sign-up is required, and the event will be canceled in case of bad weather.
